Design is a funny word. Some people think design means how it looks. But of course, if you dig deeper, it’s really how it works.

Design can be art. Design can be aesthetics. Design is so simple, that’s why it is so complicated.”

This logo has been created for a local food wholesale company as they look to release their own range of still water products. They are relying heavily on the UK sourcing of the water to sell this product so the Union Jack heart motif was created to strengthen this.
Graphic design will save the world right after rock and roll does.

This freelance project was to create a polypropylene bottle carrier for a client that would hold 7 bottles and remain rigid when emptied and was also to be made from one piece of material incorporating a succession of folds and cuts. As well as the illustration, a net was also generated to hand to the manufacturer for production.
Part of one of my freelance briefs was to revamp and modernise the current Pears soap packaging. The marketing department wanted something new but aimed at the existing market. The designs are currently with the marketing department awaiting a choice on the final design that will include three types withing the same range, hand wash, shower gel and face wash.
in response to a third year brief this Typographic advertisement was created to highlight some of the towns attractions. The base font was created from scratch and the layered effects were created in Photoshop as well as Illustrator. The roundels with the type illustrate the key area to those visiting the town: Retail, Parks & Gardens, Family & Leisure, Commercial and Historical Interest. Supporting pieces were also created with tourism in mind such as maps and billboard advertising mock ups.
As a winner of a 2011 Starpack Gold Star this brief was to rebrand the existing J20 bottle and graphics - as well as this colourful mark combining all of the flavours in the J20 range, individual on-pack graphics and supporting POS were produced.
My entry into the 2011 D&AD Awards - a re-brand and re-pack of existing Body Shop products. My response has created 4 packs that will integrate into the existing range structure but have the strength to stand as an individual range. Details of the individual pack details and graphics are here on the 4 boards though one of the key points to this design is the use of scented inks to present the fragrance within, hence the name “Scent. With Love”.
An illustrated mock up of a cinema POS display that is the response to a brief in the final year of my degree. The centre image is a digital display with cardboard figures slotted into an acrylic base stand, reducing the amount of paper waste on the change to the next film release.
